🎉 What an incredible journey into the Spring Festival our students had! 🏮 We recently celebrated the Lunar New Year with a series of immersive STEAM learning stations that beautifully blended ancient traditions with modern innovation. Our students experienced the rich cultural heritage of China through active participation, and we couldn't be prouder of their curiosity and spirit!
Here are just a few highlights from our adventure:
🧧 The Zodiac Escape Room: Our bright mathematicians cracked codes hidden within 12 red envelopes, "unlocking" a year of prosperity and some sweet rewards! 🧠💰 🥟 Culinary Arts & Engineering: Students honed their fine motor skills and learned the symbolism of wealth and family unity by "pleating" playdough dumplings. So much fun! 🎨 🏓 Physical Dexterity & Sport: From mastering chopstick challenges to sharpening reflexes with table tennis, teamwork and coordination were key! 💪 🐉 Mythology & Creative Writing: Young historians delved into the Legend of Nian, then became authors creating their own comic strips depicting how to ward off the legendary beast! ✍️ 🥁 The Dragon’s Heartbeat: The celebration culminated at our percussion station, where students learned the vibrant drumming patterns of the traditional Dragon Dance, feeling the energy and "heartbeat" of the community! ❤️ 🐎 Year of the Horse (2026): To honor the upcoming Year of the Horse, students engineered their own horse crafts, celebrating strength and independence! 🛠️
This event was more than just a celebration; it was a fantastic way for our students to build global literacy and see how art, history, and logic intertwine across cultures. Truly inspiring!
