What is ACCESS for ELs
If your child is an English Language Learner (ELL) your child will take the ACCESS test every year until they show proficiency. This test measures their academic English skills to make sure they can understand and participate fully in their classes. Your child's teachers use the test scores to track your child's progress and to decide the best ways to teach them. The school also uses the results to choose the right English support services, and you can use the test information to talk with the school about your child's needs.
